NMI’s 110th Anniversary Project is the missionary healthcare fund. Check out this information and think about you can invite others to participate in this project.

Have you wondered what happens when a missionary gets sick—and whether there are resources to help? The Missionary Healthcare Fund provides medical insurance and helps cover medical expenses for all Nazarene missionaries.

Read a firsthand account of this fund in action in this week's NMI Central.

We invite you to support NMI’s 110th Anniversary Project and contribute to the Missionary Healthcare Fund! To donate, please give through your local church and designate the offering “Fund 215.”

Do you know someone with the right skill set to help lead this team?

We are planning a work trip this August 15-23 to put a new roof on the Junea church of the Nazarene. The church has purchased the materials for the roofing but needs a team to remove the old roof and put a new one on. The only cost for participants would be $200 which would cover meals for the week, plus transportation to get to Juneau. We have several people interested in serving but need someone with roofing experience that could lead the team. If someone comes to mind that would be available, please contact District Superintendent Hunter Mizar at [email protected]

From the Ponders

Good News for Brais

This morning we received the following message from Ben. We’re praying that this obstruction was all that was keeping him from being able to breathe on his own. Our prayer now is that his organs recover enough that he can come home. And once home, doctors will monitor for brain delays and organ development over time.

From Ben: We came to see Brais today, and he had been extubated and was breathing well. Last night after we left him a mucus plug ascended inside his ventilator tube that was probably the source of obstruction. So he is doing really well, praise God! Hannah and I got to hold him.

Continue to pray for Brais and Ben and Hannah!

Update from Hannah Ponder on the new baby, Brais. Note: they are 6 hrs ahead of us.

We just saw him today. They extubated at 7am and until 11am he had only oxygen help and then they had to put him on a CPAP ventilator with oxygen because of some inflammation in his trachea. So they are treating him for that. He was sleeping the whole time we were with him. Keep praying

Urgent prayer update from the Ponders:

They are going to start warming Brais back up today at 1pm. Pray that he stays stable as they take away some interventions slowly.
