In New Path Grove, our practice is grounded on the values of playfulness, creativity, exploration, and alignment. Humans have centered around the hearth, or stove for many of us today, for millennia. The kitchen is the heart of a home! This morning, I engaged our values in care of the Self, making something experimental and comforting: a ricotta pesto garden omelette! Remember today that your home is your temple, and that the Goddess is as close as your stove. Eudaimon! May you have contentment.

He is absolutely correct. It is no one's responsibility except our own. That's why New Path Grove emphasizes safety as a large part of the container for our dynamic community. Perfect love, and perfect trust!

PSA: Interpret other people's traditions according to the lore they were passed. Looking at the Minoan Brotherhood through an Anglo-Saxon or Celtic lens is not correct. We practice Aegean Witchcraft, so to engage with us, even at a surface level, requires humility. Your Wicca is no good here.

Hot Take (or room temperature observation): People wonder why we need teachers and why we need to pick a tradition and stick to it. When our ancestors were practicing the Pagan Ways we are reconstructing, they had community support and esoteric education from a young age that facilitated the work of the Sel(ves), and prepared us/grounded us with the human relationships necessary in our spiritual network to proceed with the effectiveness brought of discernment. There is no such thing as an instant expert/Witch/Priest(ess) via TikFaceGram or the IRAB (I Read a Book) Tradition. However, there are damaged people with egos who are operating beyond their scope of practice. Fashionable opinions in a cloak, a Witch does not make. Nor does an authoritarian with a wand. We are babies when we start our Pagan journey regardless of age. Our realization must be more than the sum of our parts, and for that we must allow newly discovered parts of our child selves to grow naturally in Pagan Ways. Our joy and curiosity cannot be extinguished by the age of our bodies if we are to become fully integrated.

Temenos Kaineparadosis, or New Path Grove, is a grove of the Minoan Brotherhood, a branch of gay male American Traditional Witchcraft, that balances traditional methodologies with progressive values. We believe that a true search for Witchcraft is motivated by a sense of quest. We embrace gnosis, or experiential knowledge of the Gods, as our guide on this journey. Through the teachings imparted by our dual lineage, which passes primarily through the Northeast and California, we are empowered by respect for the tradition we carry, being propelled by our values of playfulness, creativity, exploration, and alignment. We are grounded in ideologies that embrace decolonization, antiracism, and transmasculine inclusivity.

Through our actions, we seek to embrace two central teachings of our founder, Lord Gwydion: being kalos (cultivation of inner beauty reflected outwardly), and having a wild and free spirit. In this way, we embrace eros, the divine energy that animates the universe, while following the path of liberation over license. We believe this is the first step to departing from our western overculture's patriarchal and regressive values, which have caused our current age of dis-ease. Thus, we step towards our goals of liberation of the Self, and autonomy through interconnectedness.

Initiation is merely the beginning of one's journey. Therefore, we provide the seeker with all the tools he needs in a pre-initiatory study group called the Agela, named after Mycenaean training groups that readied their members for initiation into a hetairea, or brotherhood. The Agela provides a safe space for the seeker to receive a brief overview of the Minoan system, and receive training in mysticism that will aid them in climbing the Tree of Life through their initiatory journey.

Ultimately, New Path Grove seeks to foster q***r community, chosen family, and intentional evolutionary spirituality. We maintain rigorous standards for initiation, as well as elevation to the high priesthood. We teach leadership through apprenticeship, power through devotion, and valor through discretion. We take seriously our commitment as priests of the Gods, and to the q***r community. We are open to all seekers in traveling distance who contain both interest in and aptitude for our Work.
