Thank you to everyone who gave to the Baby Bottles for Hope campaign this year. Our church raised $2,498.91 to support Hope Pregnancy Clinic as they provide abortion vulnerable women and teens with help and care in time of need.

Overall, 52 churches and groups contributed to this year’s campaign, bringing in $124,254.96 in total!

This Sunday is lobby Sunday! Once a year the Boys and Girls Club resurfaces their gym floors, forcing us into the friendly confines of the lobby for our worship gathering. Head around to the other side of the building to use the front doors instead of the regular gym entrance.

With this being our third different location in three weeks (Silver Falls two weeks ago, the gym last Sunday, and the lobby this Sunday), we are reminded once again that Peace Bible Church is first and foremost a people bound together by a shared commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Meeting locations are important, but the people are what truly make up the church!

Join us this Sunday, August 23 for a day at Silver Falls State Park! We will hold an abbreviated and simple worship service at 11:00 AM near the Evergreen Shelter. After that, we will share a lunch together. Those who would like to stick around for the afternoon are welcome to do so, and we will close the day with a hot dog roast and hymn sing back at the shelter.

No sooner does Paul issue this warning than he launches into another extended ode of praise to Christ, focusing on his person, his people, and his work on the cross. It is these magnificent truths that provide the motivation for following his warning.
