📢 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our Warming Shelter is now open, and we’re blessed to provide this safe, warm space for our community. As we welcome guests each night, we’re looking for additional volunteers to help support this mission.

As temperatures drop, our neighbors depend on Oak Grove for a hot meal, a place to rest, and the reminder that they’re loved and cared for.
If you feel led to serve—even for one shift—your time truly makes a meaningful difference. ❤️

🧡 Volunteer roles needed:
• Check-in & Dinner (4–9 PM)
• Overnight Attendant (9 PM–6 AM)
• Breakfast/Check-Out (6–8 AM)
• Laundry/Clean-Up (flexible times)

You can also support by donating the items listed.

🌟 October is Pastor Appreciation Month! 🌟

Today we’re celebrating our amazing Youth Pastor and taking a moment to get to know him a little better! We are so grateful for his years of dedication, his heart for our youth, and the way he shines the light of Jesus in everything he does.

Here’s a little Q&A to help you learn more about him:

1. What inspired you to become a pastor?
My love for God, students, and to point them to Jesus.

2. How long have you been serving at Oak Grove?
I have served Oak Grove as the youth leader since June of 2005. I am the “old” youth pastor in town!

3. What’s your favorite Bible verse or story?
My favorite verse of scripture is Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

4. What do you love most about being a pastor?
I love building relationships with the teenagers of our community, sharing the gospel with them, and having fun while doing it.

5. What’s one fun fact people might not know about you?
I love feeding the birds and squirrels. But especially my favorite squirrel Buddy! 😂

6. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I am always excited to spend time with my family!

7. Favorite worship song?
Made for More by Josh Baldwin.

8. What’s your favorite part about our church family?
I absolutely love how the church continues to support me and the students through prayer and giving.

9. What’s something small that always brightens your day?
Positive, encouraging words or text make me smile.

10. What’s one thing we can be praying for you this month?
Pray for God to lead me through the needs of our teenagers and community
