Greetings from Kenya!
Thank you, New Life Church, for your continued and genuine attention to the work being done here in Kenya.
It has been a busy season for us. We have just completed two mid-year parties for the women we serve on the streets. The first party’s theme was a conclusion of a several months' study of the Fruit of the Spirit. We had 35 women and 53 children come to the Drop In Center. The second party was on the street. We worshipped and then gave out clothes outside on the streets where these women live. Both parties were very different but both were full of laughter and the Word of God.
Our schedule of Bible study on Mondays and home visits on Wednesdays has continued since the beginning of the year. We have challenged the women with Scripture and we have a team that teaches the children in a Sunday School setting. Women are growing. Children are learning. It has been an amazing experience for all of us. Visiting homes has shown us how to better serve these families. Praying in homes is a blessing to the families and also to us. Please continue to pray for all on those days.
Recently we were asked to make videos that a church will show during their VBS this month. We would like you to watch the video we made about street life. The pictures in the video are of the women and children we serve because of your financial giving and continued prayers. But please remember the video was made for small children. We were very careful to not talk about sensitive subjects that arise with street people. Please watch and remember the faces. These are the faces of the ones we are privileged to serve.
