Fall Women's Bible Study News!
We will read "In His Image: 10 Ways God Calls Us to Reflect His Character" by Jen Wilkin Here is a short synopsis of this book: "Sometimes we ask What is God's will for my life? when we should really be asking Who should I be? The Bible has an answer: Be like the very image of God. By exploring ten characteristics of who God is - holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise - this book helps us understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God's own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow his will and are conformed to his image."
Here are the details....
First meeting: Wednesday, September 4th, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Both meeting times will discuss the same book and should be on the same schedule so if you can't make it to one meeting, feel free to join the other!
We will meet a total of 11 times to discuss, with one Wednesday off for Fall Break (October 16th). Final meeting should be the week before Thanksgiving, November 20th.
You will need to purchase the book before class starts. We will discuss the introduction at the first meeting. The book is available online and in bookstores. If you have trouble ordering, reply to this email or text/call Sara Graham at 843-513-2318.
This is a book and not a traditional Bible study. There are 10 chapters with reflection questions at the end of each chapter.
This book is available as an eBook and as an Audiobook. I encourage you to get this book in whatever format will help you be a part of this time of study.
Feel free to respond to this email with any questions you might have.
I look forward to these times of studying and digging deep into God's word together and hope you do, too. How blessed are we that we serve a God who has made His word available to us, a church to facilitate our gathering together to worship and fellowship, and other women to encourage, love and support us as we walk along in this broken world! I hope you will make time to join us on Wednesdays.
