In Honor of the Legacy of Nurse Maude Callen the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will be donating a basket of "surprises" to be won by a free raffle. Visit the Maude Callen Clinic Table to get your raffle ticket. One per person! Our church is excited to be part of this community event!

The Maude Callen Clinic will be represented at this community event, March 26. The Maude Callen Clinic was acquired by the Sumpter Free Health Clinic 501c3 in 2017. After many years of intense efforts we realized the building's restoration and the Clinic being named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2023/2024. Our goal and our mission is for it to remain a viable part of the community as an interpretative center for the work and legacy of the late Maude Callen and also a community resource center. The building is now under the care of Redeemer Church that stands directing adjacent to the Clinic. Our community involvement continues. See you on the 26 th

We would like to take a moment to pay tribute to the memory of Wash Belangia and his family. Upon learning of his passing, we felt deeply saddened and our prayers are with his family and friends. The Belangia family was once a prominent presence in our community, contributing significantly to our town. It was heartwarming that his daughter, Kelli and her family reached out to us about including the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church restoration fund in Wash's obituary. Our church, a national landmark, is currently closed due to unforeseen circumstances and necessary preservation repairs. Although the Belangia family no longer resides in St. Stephen, we appreciate this gesture of remembrance. Any donations made in Wash's memory to support the church repairs will be deeply valued and acknowledged. May the soul of The Rev. Dr. Wash Belangia, (retired) rest in peace and rise in glory. God grant peace to the Belangia family. Wash's obituary can be read at bryantfuneral.org

Our prayer is that all will remain safe and warm during this time of severe winter weather. Lord help us to be mindful of the calling and needs of the less fortunate during this time. In Jesus name.
