Great things are happening at Andrew College!

CUTHBERT, Ga. (August 31, 2026) – Andrew College has once again set an all-time enrollment record, welcoming 710 students for the Fall 2026 semester, the largest student body in the College’s 172-year history.

This summer, a delegation from St. Mary’s Road UMC attended the 2026 Global Young People’s Convocation (GYPC) in Dublin, Ireland.

Attending from St. Mary's Road UMC in Columbus were Khaliah Wiggins (young adult), Rev. Dr. Adriane Burgess (pastor), and Dianne Belfield (lay minister).

GYPC is a worldwide gathering of United Methodist youth and young adults held every four years in locations across the globe.

The July 7-11 quadrennial forum brought together United Methodist young adults, bishops, and youth leaders from across the worldwide connection for passionate worship and insightful workshops, offering wide spaces to foster fellowship and critical discussions about the connectional systems of the church.

The South Georgia Conference was well represented by this wonderful delegation!

Join clergy and laity from across Georgia for the 'And Justice for All Workshop' on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. Gathering begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship at 10:00 a.m.

Made possible through a 2026 Multiethnic Ministries Grant awarded to the South Georgia Conference, this event is part of a broader initiative to foster cross-cultural relationships, develop inclusive leadership, and strengthen multicultural ministries across our conference.

Featured speakers include Rev. Abra Lattany-Reed, Director of Diversity & Justice Ministries for the South Georgia Conference; Elaine Robinson Beattie, leadership readiness expert and founder of Lead Well, Lead Wise; and Professor Matthew Harper of Mercer University.

What a month this has been! We're still thinking on that 100% vote during the SEJ Called Session to unify the North Georgia and South Georgia Annual Conferences into the GEORGIA ANNUAL CONFERENCE!
