Thank you to everyone who came out to support our very first blood drive today! We are so grateful for each person who donated, volunteered, helped spread the word, or kept our donors encouraged throughout the day.

A single donation can make a lifesaving difference, and together our community showed what it means to care for our neighbors in a tangible way. We’re thankful for the partnership with the American Red Cross and for everyone who helped make this first blood drive such a meaningful success!

Flashback to our 2019 church picnic!!!

We hope you can join us this coming Sunday, May 31, for our Church-Wide Beach & Picnic Gathering at Jekyll Island! We'll begin the afternoon with beach time and games at 3:00 PM at the Jekyll Soccer Complex, followed by dinner at 6:00 PM at South Dunes Beach Park. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs - just bring a favorite side dish to share. We'd love for you to come enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon of fellowship by the beach! Every donation has the potential to help save lives and care for patients in need right here in our communities. The drive is open to the public, so invite friends, family, and neighbors to join in this meaningful opportunity to make a difference.

What a joyful Sunday at SSPC!

Today, we welcomed Rev. Dr. Rachel Rhodes back to the pulpit as we celebrate this incredible milestone—earning her Doctorate from Duke Divinity School! We are so grateful for her faithful leadership and proud of this remarkable achievement.

We also shared heartfelt gratitude for Rev. Laurie Bentley as we marked her “second retirement” from staff ministry. Laurie’s love, wisdom, and faithful service have blessed this church family beyond measure, and while we will miss her deeply in this role, we wish her endless joy in this next chapter.

And as if that weren’t enough joy for one morning, we also gave thanks for the gift of baptism, welcoming two precious children into the family of faith.

What a morning of celebration, gratitude, and new beginnings. God is so good!
