🙏🏾Free Summer Therapy for Youth 🙏🏾
In recent years, our city has witnessed heartbreaking loss. Su***de and mental health struggles have touched far too many families, communities, and neighborhoods. We especially acknowledge the grief experienced within our transgender community, where several precious lives have been impacted and lost in recent years.
These are not statistics. These are human beings. These are beloved children of God.
At Historic Bethel, we refuse to remain silent while people suffer.
We believe the church must be a place not only of prayer, but of healing. A place where faith and mental health are not enemies, but partners. A place where young people and families can say, “I’m struggling,” and be met with love not shame.
Historic Bethel is excited to launch:
A FREE 8-Week Virtual Therapy Program for Youth
📚 Elementary • Middle • High School Students
🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays via Zoom
👩🏾⚕️ Led by:
Dr. Yolanda N. White, Licensed School Psychologist
Amarah Scott, Certified School Psychologist
This summer, students will have access to safe, supportive, and confidential spaces to process anxiety, grief, emotional stress, behavioral concerns, peer relationships, identity development, and the many pressures facing young people today.
⚠️ Registration is required.
We have 96 total therapy session spots available for the summer, and space is limited. Sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once spots are filled, registration will close.
We know our children are carrying more than we often see. And we are committed to making sure they do not carry it alone.
