Welcome to God’s family! You have made the most important decision of your life, choosing to follow Jesus. As a new believer, you have questions. You prayed and asked Jesus into your heart, but now you want to know what that actually means. First, you nee
d to know that means you are headed in the direction that bring peace and joy into you life. You are headed in the right direction—you are bound for Heaven. Before coming to Christ, you were separated from God by sin and on your way to a very real place called hell! But Jesus has saved you by dying on the cross in your place. The Bible says:
Since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s judgment. For since we were restored to friend- ship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. (Romans 5:9–10)
Second, you need to know that you have been given a new life! The Bible says, “Those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). As a new believer, you can expect to have new attitudes and desires. You may need to re- place some old habits and patterns with new activities that will help you to grow your new life in Christ. Growth takes time, but it begins—right now—where you are. This 100% Biblical "how to" manual teaches the essentials of your Christian walk with the Lord. At times there is homework that will increase your faith in the Lord. Your participation in this study will not only increase your faith in the Lord, but will also give you the strength to be an overcomer, through Christ Jesus, in all areas of your life! Colossians 2:6-7
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Many people who have come to the Lord do not know what to do from there. Here is a safe place for all new Christians to learn the fundamentals of being a Christian. At one point in all of our lives, we have been there. This is a place where one may ask questions, share from their hearts, and be encouraged, and be feed the Word of God. I encourage all new Christians to be affiliated with a group of some sort that will hold your hand and help you learn what Jesus desires you to know. This study is a "fill-in" when you are on your own and ready to be taught what you alway's desired: how to love and be loved. WELCOME:
