Delia Canela Senior

Delia was born in the Dominican Republic, where she studied in Santiago with the renowned Dominican painter Yoryi Morel. Later she moved to Puerto Rico and studied at the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Puerto Rico. In 2002 Delia received additional instruction at the School of Fine Arts of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

After moving to Tampa in 2003, Delia became involved in the art community in 2008 she became part of the Coalition of Hispanic Artists (CHA), participating in art shows and winning awards.
The different color of the sky, trees, rivers and oceans have been the inspiration for her painting both in acrylic and in oil on canvas.

About my painting: Walking around this beautiful city, I have found that these are the special flowers in Tampa. I spontaneously took the idea of painting them, I took many photos in various places and in all the colors I saw, and there I decided to paint them as a tribute to this city.

Evelyn Mendez Portuguez was born in Costa Rica, on March 16, 1963 in San José, Costa Rica. From an early age she showed an inclination for artistic portrait painting.

When she was ten years old looking at a still life photo in the newspaper of a national artist, she decided to be an artist.
She has participated in national and international artistic shows in group and individual exhibitions, and has obtained various awards and important recognition.

Offering a wide variety of genres her painting is Naturalistic, surrealistic backgrounds, highlighting her unique character in a mystery, reflected in different means of expression. Many of her paintings are part of private collections in different parts of the world. She resides in the US and is part of a group of Hispanic artists.

About my painting: Behind my house a beautiful flower bloomed and I captured all its “splendor” and managed to bring this beautiful moment to a work of art, but a little mischievous creature was an invader!! If you can see the bug, you will have made it.
