Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of your faithful servant Barnabas, who, seeking not his own renown but the wellbeing of your Church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

It was sunny, it was hot, and it was absolutely worth it! ☀️🌈
A huge thank you to our incredible Cathedral volunteers who staffed our tent at the St. Pete Pier for Family Pride Day yesterday. We had the best time engaging with festival attendees of all ages. It was especially heartwarming to see young ones come up to our booth to say hi and ask questions!

Between handing out lots of cold water, snacks, and stickers, we loved having the opportunity to connect with our neighbors and share our message of radical welcome.

✨ The celebration isn't over! ✨

O God, from whom all good proceeds: Grant that by your inspiration we may think those things that are right, and by your merciful guiding may do them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from the Cathedral Church of St. Peter! 🌈

At the Cathedral, we celebrate and recognize the glorious diversity of God's creation. We are a welcoming, affirming, and safe space for all because we believe with our whole hearts that God loves you—no exceptions!

We seek to be a church that loves as Jesus loves, welcomes all, and respects the dignity of every human being. We believe there is profound strength in diversity, and we invite you to worship with us because you are a child of God. Whatever your sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, circumstances, or wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we are here to help each other build our relationship with God and one another.

We are so honored to host this joyful occasion for the Diocese! 🕊️✨
Join us this Saturday morning to celebrate the ordinations of Peter and Miranda. It is a beautiful privilege to gather as a supportive faith community to pray for those dedicating their lives to serving the Church.
A celebratory reception will follow the service in Harvard Hall. We look forward to seeing you there! 🙏

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the Rt. Rev. Douglas F. Scharf will ordain the Rev. Miranda Harrison-Quillin to the Sacred Order of Priests and Peter John Dombrowski to the Sacred Order of Deacons.

The ceremony will take place at Cathedral Church of St. Peter (140 Fourth Street North, St. Petersburg, FL). All are invited to attend and to keep Miranda and Peter in their prayers as they begin this new chapter of ministry.

✏️ June Outreach: Campbell Park Elementary Sponsorships! 🍎

Summer vacation has barely started, but our Outreach Committee is already working hard to ensure the teachers and students at Campbell Park Elementary have a wonderful start to the 2026-27 school year!

This year, there are two ways you can help us support our local students and educators:

🍎 1. Sponsor a Classroom ($150)
We want to provide all 37 CPES teachers with $150 to outfit their classrooms, so they don't have to pay out of their own pockets to create a beautiful, useful learning environment.

👟 2. Sponsor a Student's Uniform ($100)
The Cathedral has committed to sponsoring 20 children whose families cannot purchase uniforms. A $100 donation covers pants, shorts, shirts, socks, a belt, and shoes for one student. (Note: CPES staff will purchase the clothing—please do not go shopping yourself!)

Here is how you can give (Any amount is welcome!):

💳 Best option: Gift cards to Walmart or Target in $25 increments.

✉️ By Check: Make checks payable directly to Campbell Park Elementary (NOT the Cathedral).

📍 Drop-off: Leave your gift cards or checks at the front desk on Sundays, or during weekday office hours (Mon-Thu, 9 AM - 4 PM).

(Please note: We are NOT collecting backpacks or school supplies this year—just gift cards and checks!)

Thank you for your generosity in getting the new school year off to a strong start! 💙

Father in heaven, by your grace the virgin mother of your incarnate Son was blessed in bearing him, but still more blessed in keeping your word: Grant us who honor the exaltation of her lowliness to follow the example of her devotion to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
