We establish Centers of Hope in some of the most impoverished parts of the world to care for the most vulnerable among us. Hope Partners is a Christ-centered international ministry with a simple mission: To rescue children and transform their lives. We fulfill this mission through one key strategy: We build Hope Centers in some of the world’s most desperately needy places. We’ve rolled up our slee

ves and established Hope Centers in a poverty-wracked area on the outskirts of San José, Costa Rica…in a daunting slum near Nairobi, Kenya…and in forbidding regions in northern India. In the slums of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, more than 400 children and moms in extreme poverty come to our center to find food, medical care, trauma counseling and spiritual guidance. Hope Centers can also be found in Sri Lanka where 22% of Sri Lankans are undernourished or malnourished. Finally, displaced Ukrainian children and their families are looking for safe refuge, and their HOPE to live without trauma with a chance to rebuild their lives. Our Hope Center nearest Constanta, Romania is just 105 km from the border of Ukraine. Our Hope Center staff is ready to provide prayers, safe shelter, hot meals, hygiene supplies, fuel to keep warm, transport to safe areas, counseling support and more. Through acts of compassion, we can help in this immediate crisis. In each of these locations we help the helpless and give hope to the hopeless. In Jesus’ name and with his compassion we care for “the least of these” — the orphaned, abandoned, abused children who are left to fend for themselves in conditions so harsh and unforgiving that it defies description.

“Graduating” is one thing. Finding your first job is another.

This August, Hope Costa Rica partnered with KFC to give our graduates an opportunity to take an important step toward entering the workforce.

They came prepared with their resumes, sat down with KFC representatives and practiced the interviewing skills they will need as they begin looking for work.

August’s focus at HOPE was “determination”, and this was a chance to put that into practice.

We want our young people to leave HOPE ready for what comes next. Education matters, but so does helping them make that transition into work, responsibility and independence.

We’re thankful to KFC Costa Rica for spending this time with our graduates and helping them prepare for the opportunities ahead.

Please pray for these young men and women as they begin this next part of their lives.

What are we building into a child that will still be there years from now?

At our Hope Center in Costa Rica, learning includes more than homework and school lessons.

The children put away their games, arrange their chairs, and gather together for Bible teaching. They review what they have learned, hear stories from Scripture, ask questions, and discover what God’s Word says about their lives.

We want every child in our care to receive a strong education. And we want that education built on a biblical foundation.

Because long after they leave the Hope Center, they will face decisions, struggles, opportunities, and questions we cannot answer for them.

But they can know where to turn.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

When children know God’s Word, they grow in HOPE.

For some children, going back to school starts with a question: Do I have what I need?

School begins September 7 in Romania. This week, our teams visited the Hope Centers in Murfatlar and Siminoc to make sure every child had a backpack filled with notebooks, pens, pencils and the other supplies they need.

For many of these children, their families simply cannot afford everything on the school list.

And that matters. How can a child focus on learning when they walk into the classroom already missing the basics?

Thanks to your support, these children are starting school prepared. And when the school day is over, their Hope Center will still be there with a warm meal and people who know them, love them and care about what happens next.

Today, every child here has what they need to start.

That is what HOPE looks like on the first day of school.

Today, we’re bringing HOPE to the children of La Guaira, Venezuela.

For five days, our Venezuelan Hope Center Director Luis Rea and a team of 30 people from Barquisimeto, together with local volunteers, are serving children affected by the earthquake in three protected locations.

Morning. Afternoon. Evening.

At each location, children take part in a VBS program with songs, activities, educational materials, snacks and time with people who care about them.

The days are long, but the reason is simple: these children have been through a lot, and right now they need care, consistency and the love of Christ.

Please pray for Luis, the volunteers and every child they will serve this week.

Pray for strength. Pray for safety. And pray that through every song, lesson and conversation, children will experience the love of Jesus.

Hope Partners is grateful to stand with our friends in Venezuela as they serve.

Hoy estamos llevando ESPERANZA a los niños de La Guaira, Venezuela.

Durante cinco días, nuestro Director del Centro de Esperanza en Venezuela, Luis Rea, y un equipo de 30 personas de Barquisimeto, junto con voluntarios locales, están sirviendo a niños afectados por el terremoto en tres lugares protegidos.

Mañana. Tarde. Noche.

En cada lugar, los niños participan en un programa de Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones con canciones, actividades, materiales educativos, refrigerios y tiempo con personas que se preocupan por ellos.

Los días son largos, pero la razón es sencilla: estos niños han pasado por mucho, y ahora necesitan cuidado, constancia y el amor de Cristo.

Por favor, oren por Luis, los voluntarios y cada niño al que servirán esta semana.

Oren por fortaleza. Oren por seguridad. Y oren para que, a través de cada canción, lección y conversación, los niños puedan experimentar el amor de Jesús.

When Hope Partners chose where to build the new Hope Center in Babadag, Romania, the location mattered.

Our Hope Center Director, Vali Pavlov explains why. “The school is only about a five-minute walk away.”

That means children can leave school and walk directly to the Hope Center, where they can spend the afternoon in a safe place. And when the program is finished, our buses will take them home.

• Close to school.
• A safe place waiting for them.
• A ride home when the day is done.

Every part of this Hope Center has been planned around the children we are here to serve.

For some children, home does not always feel safe.

So imagine what it means to walk into a place where you know there will be food, someone will notice if you’re missing, and the adults around you actually care what happens to you.

That is what we are building in Babadag.

In Cernavodă, Romania, some children are growing up without a parent beside them. Some are being raised by grandparents. Some families are wondering how they will put food on the table next month.

And some young people are growing up surrounded by drugs, prostitution, and very few examples of a different way to live.

This is where Hope Partners comes alongside them.

At our Hope Center, children find a safe place after school. They get help with homework, food, school supplies, and something harder to measure.

Someone listens to them.
Someone knows their name.
Someone reminds them that their life matters.

Week after week, that consistency begins to change what a child believes is possible.
