The Declaration of the Báb marks the moment in 1844 when the Báb, whose title means “the Gate”, announced the beginning of a new spiritual era and prepared the way for Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith.

For Bahá’ís around the world, this Holy Day commemorates a message of spiritual renewal, hope, and the awakening of humanity to its oneness and shared future.

BIC: British news outlet highlights 's case, raising concern that his torture and threats to life reflect a wider pattern of repression in Iran, where human rights violations may be overshadowed by the current war context.
