Loving your neighbor sounds simple until we start deciding who counts as our neighbor.

Jesus didn't leave much room for exceptions. Your neighbor includes the person you disagree with, the person you don't understand, and the person halfway around the world. In a world this connected, our responsibility to love doesn't stop at the people who live next door.

Faith isn't measured by how polished our worship looks. It's measured by the justice, integrity, and love we bring into the world. We may not always be the ones waiting for liberation. We also have to ask who might need liberation from us.

When people are told they have to fit into a smaller version of themselves, eventually they may decide to leave the room altogether.

Women deserve a faith that sees their full humanity, their gifts, their voices, and their calling. There should be no ceiling on what God can do through them.

Sometimes the questions young people are asking about church aren't about faith at all. They're about whether the church reflects the Jesus they've been taught to follow.

Faith and integrity shouldn't have to be a choice. We believe there should be room for both.

We all read Scripture through a lens. The question is what we choose to do with that responsibility.

If we're going to talk about taking the Bible seriously, we should also be willing to ask which teachings we emphasize, which ones we overlook, and whether our interpretation is actually producing the love Jesus called us to.

You don't have to have all the answers before you find community. There should be places where you can bring your questions, doubts, and uncertainty and still have room to explore faith alongside other people. You belong before you have everything figured out.

Progressive Christianity isn't about choosing between faith and feelings. It's about making room for the whole person: our questions, emotions, intellect, spirituality, and desire to understand God more deeply. Faith can be thoughtful, expansive, and deeply rooted without leaving our humanity at the door.
