But Christianity begins with a person, not a book.

The Bible is sacred and deeply important, but at the center of our faith is Jesus, his life, his teachings, his death, and his resurrection.

We are not called to become experts in a text. We are called to become more like Christ.

We’re raising funds so we can be a visible presence of love at the St. Pete Pride Parade and Street Festival this June - and you can help while having a chance to win some amazing prizes! This will be our SIXTH year participating in St. Pete Pride 🥹

We were never meant to carry stones for each other. Not the shame thrown at us, and not the judgment we throw back.

Healing has never come through fear or punishment. It comes through love, through mercy, through choosing to see each other the way God already does: beloved, worthy, and made to flourish together.

The people holding the stones were the ones convinced they were defending righteousness. And Jesus chose to stand beside the person they wanted to condemn.

Before anyone becomes a debate topic, they are already a person made in the image of God.

Again and again, He chose compassion over condemnation, people over performance, and love over legalism.

Maybe following Jesus looks less like deciding who’s “in” or “out”… and more like learning how to love people well.

The context matters. Jesus was speaking into a world where women had almost no rights and could be discarded at any moment by the men who held all the power. What sounds restrictive to us now was, in that moment, protective.
