Two main points from Malachi 2:17-3:5:

The Refiner's Fire
Sanctification is not a painless process. God is the Refiner, and if we want to be like Him, He must bring our impurities to the surface and remove them. It's going to be hard. It's going to hurt.

Justice is Coming
Part of God's promise mentioned in this passage has already occurred, but God also promised swift judgment for the wicked (He gets very specific here) and justice for the helpless (those being abused and oppressed by the wicked).

We are in 'the in-between'. While we wait, we can take heart in the full promise and live our lives in a way that points people to the Messenger - the Savior who fulfilled the first part of the promise in this passage from Malachi.

June Change for Change Giving
TeenStreet: Helping Teens Discover How God Can Use Them Today

Eric and Rachel McEachron serve with Operation Mobilization, helping provide occupation-based ministry opportunities in some of the world’s least-reached regions. One unique ministry connected with OM is TeenStreet.

TeenStreet works alongside local churches to encourage and disciple Christian teenagers, helping them grow in a real friendship with Jesus and live out their faith in everyday life. The ministry challenges teens to recognize that God can use them now, through their own gifts, passions, and relationships, while also equipping them to disciple others. Through small group ministry, larger meetings, and other events teens are invited to take part in the mission that Jesus has for them.

June’s Change for Change offering will support TeenStreet Asia in multiple countries across Central Asia, which serves mostly Muslim background Christians.

Below are the specifics of where your May Change for Change donations are headed.👇🏽

📖The Barkers in the Philippines (PEEI) need 6,000 booklets and tracts titled Jesus Christ Alone and The Good News Series.
📖The Hains (GEM Italy) need Bibles, along with Arabic tracts and pamphlets.
📖Volunteers with CRU Europe will distribute Arabic New Testaments and evangelistic materials to Muslim vacationers in southern France this summer.
📖Amy Scott’s Sparrow Project (TeachBeyond) also needs books and tracts for schools in poverty-stricken areas.

We’re excited to share that the Elder Board has presented Anthony Ochoa as the candidate for our Discipleship Ministry Director role at GCC! After more than 8 years serving in youth ministry, Anthony feels led to step into this new opportunity.
