Saint Mark has been serving the West Seventh Street community of Saint Paul for over 100 years. Our church home is one mile west of the Xcel Energy Center on West Seventh Street, directly across from Mancini’s. We have a friendly congregation with deep roots in the community. Walter Wietzke leads our congregation. Worship service is mostly traditional with special services throughout the year. The
choir is complemented by an authentic pipe organ, as well as a variety of other accompaniments. Children are always welcome for service! EDUCATION:
From children to adults, St. Mark has education opportunities for all ages. Children are always welcome to attend worship service with their families. Special times during the service are meant for their participation. The children are welcome to bring up coins for our African Jar / Widow's Basket during the offering and they close out the service from the front of the church exclaiming to the congregation, "Go In Peace and Serve the Lord!"
Each Sunday, following our worship service children ages 3 years to 6th grade are encouraged to come to Sunday School Class to hear great stories from the Bible, play games, sing songs and make fun crafts! Adults have opportunities for Bible Study on Wednesday mornings at 8:00am and Thursday evenings at 7:00pm. The Gathering of Women of St. Mark meets the Third Thursday of each month.
