Victory Ministry

Victory Ministry Generation after generation will declare more of Your greatness & discover more of Your glory. Ps 145:4 We welcome you with open hearts!”
-M & R

Our marriage was and is currently founded on an array of values - But all of them being anchored in the biblical truths of Christ. Serving God’s people no longer seems like a value, as we just ideally live to out-serve one another each and every day. (It has become ‘written on our hearts’ for life!) So... Serve God, love others - Love others, serve God.

“Our desire for this ministry is to first

and foremost, honor Christ. M & I are 2 ordinary people, who believe that we are called to do extraordinary things (just as all of God’s people are called to be) through Christ who gives us that strength. We rejoice in any & every glory He brings, both to you and through you! Whether someone is dropping into this group to reconnect with the life-giving words of Jesus, or simply in need of prayers! We want you to know that you are FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE, DEEPLY LOVED and that you HAVE A BEAUTIFUL PURPOSE!!!

•God’s movement is ALWAYS relevant...
•He finishes what He starts...
•His timing is always perfect...
•He is always ALWAYS good!

“Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer, and to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; that the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.”

Wives:
•Submit your heart to Christ daily. Never wear that out!
•NEVER hinder your prayer life!
•Study the Bible out of love.
•Be present in your walk with God and be absent in the world.
•Be unashamed of the Gospel and all it has brought to your marriage.
•Submit to your husband out of submission for Jesus.

Husbands:
•Submit your heart to Christ, daily. Never wear that out!
•NEVER hinder your prayer life!
•Study the Bible out of love.
•Be present in your walk with God and be absent in the world.
•Make Christ your entire portion so that there isn’t room for anything else to occupy your life; when spilled, you lead rather than fail & fall.
•Cherish your wife as Christ has cherished his church; He loved the church and gave himself up for her.
•’Lead by following’. Christ is the model on just how you are to live out your OWN love for wives as husbands (you) imitating Christ.

Together:
•Together you study, mediate, model and disciple eachother after the life-giving words in Ephesians 5:21-33.
•Set aside time EVERY WEEK to connect! Share what’s on your hearts & minds and pray for eachother. Make this time sacred, and make sure you remember that Jesus is listening in!
•Measure both your own, your family, and God’s people with the ‘Standards of love’ in 1 Corinthians chapter. Satan wants nothing more than to separate! Bring things peacefully together.

“God’s words, but also for the counsel of others. “A wise man listens to advice” (Proverbs 12:15). Keeping company with the wise is essential in learning wisdom (Proverbs 13:20). Fools would rather talk than listen. They may say they love to “have others in their lives,” but they don’t really want to hear any correction. They would rather utter slander (Proverbs 10:18) than heed reproof (Proverbs 15:5).

While wisdom leads to life (Proverbs 3:18; 16:22), folly ultimately leads to death (Proverbs 5:23; 10:21).”

Make Jesus your ENTIRE portion, and you will lack nothing.

You will also quickly realize that measuring earthly love will never truly satisfy your every need. But the wonderful thing that comes with knowing Jesus is that you have this overflowing, unconditional love FOR all of God’s people that will never run out ❤️

This also includes how to walk with or be surrounded by the “wicked” (Psalms 2-7) and still carry that love… but have discernment…. with those in which you may meet ‘along the way’.

Do you suddenly see SO MANY posts about the “state of the world” these days? My immediate reaction is to remind myself to Be still and know that God is God, so he is already in control. *And that worrying is a SIN!

We/I am also reminded to not be tempted by it and to stay disciplined. Discipline looks like reading the Bible before I begin my day, studying its words and asking the Spirit for guidance as I navigate. Not giving Satan a foothold ANYWHERE in your life. God provides my life with people to love and serve so I am serving others (out of love of course!) with everything I have. (Below) scripture promises us that caring for the widowed, the poor and the orphaned is one way to NOT be polluted by this world. I constantly seek forgiveness for my sinful actions because that is the act of a righteous Child.

God has truly changed my heart in this “process” (I don’t find that word fitting as these are all of the results of a relationship with Jesus) 🙌🏻 I will never go back! This is the ONLY way to combat the world, knowing the Truth!

”Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.“
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Out of all of the great serving opportunities and missions that God makes available and brings me to experience, there’s a lot of wonderful feedback.

But then there’s the negative feedback… and it’s more prominent than one may believe:
“Leave that to someone else”
“Someone else can help. You should be working instead.”
“You can’t do this alone….”
“You have no experience.”
“You aren’t right for this role.”
“Are you sure that person deserves this?”

This is why it is CRUCIAL to begin the process citing my source for all of it. The obedience, the joy, ALL of my hope, ALL allowances and all of my strength in these moments: Jesus. I DESIRE for this credit to go to the One who calls me out, provides everything that I need, draws me in and unconditionally loves me. Learning from this, I am inspired to share; to do that same exact for those whom we/I serve.

The haters (aka) worldly darkness, exists to destroy & discourage 🫠 Sometimes this also produces and promotes self-worship and self-exaltation for these acts… Jussssttt no.

So to those who look for ways to help others this time of year or even seek out more ways/opportunities to help others, I encourage you to start at the feet of Jesus. You literally go to war in this fight against righteousness! I’ve even struggled in the fight to “keep going” and so will you. It’s Biblical and it’s happening.

Better have the right source to fight for why and what you are doing ❤️ (And encouragement from those who understand!)

Colossians 4:1-6…

Verses 2–6 discuss how a Christian speaks. Paul begins by asking for constant and loyal prayer. God does not intend for prayer to be an event taking place only at certain times. It is meant to be an ongoing dialogue with the Lord. First Thessalonians 5:17 notes believers are to "pray without ceasing" or without end."

Paul mentions two important aspects of prayer. First, believers are to be "watchful" in prayer. This carries the idea of standing guard, or staying awake at night to make sure a location is safe. Prayer demands ongoing attention, just like the guard at a city gate. In practical terms, this means prayer is not supposed to be a careless, casual, or frivolous act. We should pray with specific purpose and with deliberate intent.

Second, prayer should be thankful. The Colossian believers were already connected with thanksgiving (Colossians 2:7), with Paul thanking God for them in his prayers (Colossians 1:3). A major benefit of prayer is aligning our will with God's will, which leads to greater understanding and to a greater sense of gratitude.

These are descriptive, guiding ways that a Christian should be living, setting the standard as you seek as many possible ways to follow Jesus!

“that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
