Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful Memorial Day ceremony. Through patriotic music, prayer, reflection, and remembrance, we came together to pay tribute to those whose sacrifices secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

Today, we gathered in remembrance, gratitude, and honor for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Thank you to all who joined us for Elmhurst Cemetery’s Memorial Day Program as we paused to reflect on the true meaning of this day.

Elmhurst Cemetery would like to extend a sincere thank you to the 20 wonderful volunteers who joined us today to place flags on the graves of our military heroes. Your service and dedication helped make the cemetery look beautiful and ensured that those who sacrificed for our country are honored and remembered this Memorial Day weekend.

We invite everyone to join us tomorrow for our Memorial Day Service beginning at 10:00am here at Elmhurst Cemetery. Together, we will pause to remember and give thanks for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Following the service, guests are invited to stay for free coffee and fresh donuts as we enjoy fellowship and community together.

☕ Following the service, guests are invited to stay for fresh donuts, coffee, and fellowship with the community.

Please bring your own lawn chair for seating during the program. Handheld American flags will be available to place on graves as we remember and pay tribute to our veterans and loved ones.

Here, amid the beauties of nature, you may choose a final resting place for yourself or a beloved family member in either our well maintained grounds or in our beautiful Columbarium Niche Garden.

Elmhurst Cemetery was established in 1858, the very same year Minnesota became a state. Once lined with 760 elm trees, the cemetery has been a witness to generations of history.

As one of St. Paul’s oldest cemeteries, Elmhurst stands alongside Oakland and Calvary Cemeteries in honoring the legacy of Minnesota’s earliest families and pioneers.
