Here is a recap of 03.15.20 Youth Sunday school.
We learned that God is Love (1 John 4:16).
(Q) The question then is what is ❤️?
(A) Love can be many things and there are many things it is not; it is Patient (keyword), it is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Who likes math?
If God=Love, and Love=Patient
Then God=Patient
(Q) How has God been patient
(A) Despite Apostle Paul’s past of persecuting Christians and agreeing to have Christians executed, his “Road to Damascus” proved that God is patient and forgiving among other things (Acts 26). God loves us and are patient with us despite our flaws, and allowed Jesus (His one and only Son) to die on the cross while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Furthermore, While Jesus was captured and eventually crucified, he endured the pain, suffering, and was ridiculed (spat on, crown of thorns, made fun of), but was patient to endure for our sake.
(Q) How can we carry our cross and follow Jesus?
(A) Love and show Patience
Collossians 3:12
Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy, and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (keyword)
