Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis

Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis Representing our excellent system of 89 preschool-12 schools across the greater metro area.

The Office for the Mission of Catholic Education strengthens local schools’ Catholic mission: the Catholic formation of the whole student, rooted in the dignity of the human person. The work of the Office for the Mission of Catholic Education helps Catholic schools in this archdiocese continue to evangelize their students with the Good News of Jesus Christ. This includes helping form the intellect through academic excellence, forming the will through Catholic morality, and forming the heart through prayer and service. The office provides formation, training and resources to support the formation of educators and other Catholic school leaders.

🎁 As a gift from Archbishop Bernard Hebda, we are pleased to provide the “Treasury of Catholic Prayers” to Catholic school students in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

This beautifully illustrated prayer book is designed to support our students as they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, deepen their love for the Catholic faith, and participate more fully in the sacramental life of the Church.

“I entrust this book to you in the hope that it may help you to pray often and pray well.” – Archbishop Hebda

We are so grateful for the time and dedication of the leaders and educators from 13 of our Catholic schools who participated in the recent training we hosted on Multi-Tiered System of Supports with Ellen Grossman. We are committed to finding ways to serve all students, regardless of ability, with compassion and excellence, and ensure they are fully welcomed and supported in our Catholic schools. ✝🏫

🍎 New teachers hired at our Catholic schools recently had the opportunity to gather for a two-day training at the University of St. Thomas. ✝️Teaching in a Catholic School 101 ✝️ allowed time for new teachers to gain practical insights and skills for their classroom while connecting in meaningful ways. We covered classroom management; lesson planning; and teacher as a formator, colleague and partner with parents.

We pray that all new teachers may grow in their vocation and lead their students to know, love and serve the Lord while helping to prepare them for life. 🙏🏼

Please join us in welcoming Deacon Mike McGinty to the Office for the Mission of Catholic Education!

We are thrilled to have Deacon McGinty at the helm as director of Catholic education and superintendent of schools.

“Catholic education has been a vocation that has shaped my life, and I am blessed to continue serving the Church in this new role. I believe, as the Archbishop has expressed, that Catholic education is about far more than academic excellence — it is about helping young people encounter Jesus Christ and grow in faith, wisdom and holiness.” – Deacon McGinty

Please pray for our Catholic schools and the work of carrying out our Archbishop’s vision for Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. 🙏
