We are excited to welcome flutist Alison Young to worship this Sunday, April 26 at 10am! She will be premiering a setting of 'Adoro Te Devote' (Humbly I adore thee) composed by Minnesota composer, Richard Rasch.

Richard says the following about his piece:

"Adoro Te Devote is one of the five Eucharistic hymns of St. Thomas Aquinas written at the request of Pope Urban IV on the occasion of the institution of the Feast of Corpus Christi in 1264. The traditional melody is a Gregorian chant that likely originated in the Processionale Parisiense in 1697. The melody has long been a favorite of mine and I never tire of finding ways to harmonize it. These variations for flute and keyboard have been adapted from a set of variations for unaccompanied choir that I wrote years ago."
