This past Sunday we celebrated the Sacrament of First Communion at Saint Thomas More, with 26 First Communicants! In his homily, Fr. R.J. reminded us that while today may be their first time receiving the Eucharist, it should also inspire all of us to approach every Communion as if it were our first: with awe, gratitude, and an open heart. Sometimes we need that reminder to never lose sight of the incredible gift we receive each week.

Congratulations to our First Communicants and their families on this joyful and sacred milestone! Please keep these students in your prayers as they continue to grow in faith and friendship with Jesus. 🤍

Tomorrow we are having our May Crowning Ceremony in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and our First Communicants, held in our beautiful and historic church.

Parents, grandparents and special friends are warmly invited to join us for this special Mass as we gather in prayer and reflection, to celebrate Mary and those who received their First Communion. There will be a short reception to follow in Ignatius Hall for all that attend this Mass.

If you wish to be seated with your children, grandchildren and special friends, please arrive by 8:15 am to make sure you have a seat. We look forward to sharing this beautiful tradition with you! 💐🌻🌷

As Saint Thomas More celebrates 100 years in its sacred sanctuary, we are called to honor the faith and generosity that built this holy place and to prepare it for the next century of worship and service. Throughout this year we want to share memories from years gone by, taking the time to appreciate where we started, how far we've come, and the path we have yet to follow!
