‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.’ Proverbs 31:8📖

On Sunday, September 27th, people all around the world will gather to pray for the victims and survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT).

Praying for those who have been trafficked is a powerful way to stand with survivors and to advocate for an end to exploitation. In this way, we walk alongside victims and survivors and give them a voice through the prayers we offer to God.

At The Salvation Army, we believe that everyone should be able to live in peace without being exploited, and we open our hearts and minds and ask the Lord to hear our prayers to protect the vulnerable throughout communities across the world. 🙏

🎥 This year, we also invite you to join our global creative prayer campaign marking the 2026 day of prayer. It's really simple. Join us by sharing your creative prayer talents! More info at https://www.salvationarmy.org/resources/open-our-eyes

We will be closed on September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Hope to see you on Tuesday.

As our community gears up for back-to-school season, one thing is clear: kids succeed in the classroom at much higher rates when they’re receiving proper nutrition. But it can be hard for struggling families to buy healthy groceries at affordable prices.

Pile children’s plates high with all the ingredients they need for success this year.

This week, we pray for the 🇨🇩Democratic Republic of Congo Territory🇨🇩. The leaders of this territory have shared the following points to guide us as we pray:

🔷️ Pray for reconciliation and lasting peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

🔷️ Pray that the Provinces of Uturi, North and South Kivu, and the populations affected by Ebola are protected, and that this pandemic comes to an end in our country and in neighboring nations.

🔷️ Pray for the Territorial Prayer Convention, celebrating 92 years of The Salvation Army's mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Dinah understands firsthand the struggles of being a single parent.

She did her best to balance work, school, and her daughter’s needs, but her income was often insufficient. Thanks to compassionate donors like you, The Salvation Army arrived just when she needed support most. Today, without the burden of basic needs, Dinah can focus on building a brighter future for herself and her daughter.
