The history of Deeper Life Bible Church worldwide is very much the personal story of Dr W.F. Kumuyi, the founder and General Superintendent of the Church. Under Senior Pastor Kumuyi, DLBC became the 3rd largest single congregation in the world. Dr Kumuyi is a gifted man, clear-thinking and humble. He is a dedicated Christian and deserves the title ‘the man of God.'

umuyi has devoted his time to reading and studying the Bible. He knows the Scriptures inside out and he judiciously apply them to every area of his listeners' life. This refreshing angle to presenting the gospel draws people to the church and to Pastor Kumuyi wherever he preaches. The messages are clear, simple, direct and practical. In the church, street traders who can barely read sit next to university professors, all equally captivated by the way Scripture becomes suddenly relevant to them. Dr. Akin J. Adeniyi oversees the US Central Region2 comprising of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan. He also doubles as the Senior Pastor of the St Paul, Minnesota Regional headquarters church.

John was a very dull boy. His peers called him "Father of fools"
When he was in a Private school he got the following results:

Maths = 2%
English = 5%
Science = 0%
Social sciences = 1%

He was taken to a government school and got the following results;

Maths = 0%
English = 1%
Science = 0%
Social sciences = 0%

His parents were very disappointed but still decided to put him in a Christian school even though they were not Christians.
The First term John passed and was the first in the class .
Maths = 90%
English = 93%
Science = 95%
Social sciences = 89%

His parents could not believe it. They asked him how he managed to pass and he said;

"when I saw a man nailed on the cross at every corner of the school building, I knew that these teachers don't joke with students here, they will nail me too''

Above passage came to me today as I ruminated on a ministerial challenge that I confronted lately.... TO OBEY IS BETTER, ALWAYS! Disobedience reduces your value and worth before God. NEVER FORGET THIS! The LORD is able and ever ready to give you much more than what you thought you lost or are losing, if only you just obey Him. The test of obedience always produces a tale of overcoming and obtaining for His glory. Selah!
