Hi everyone,
September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.
Week 2: Let’s Ask, Listen & Support
A simple question like “How are you really doing?” can be a meaningful way to check in, listen, and show someone they are cared for and not alone.
Supporting someone doesn’t have to be difficult:
- Ask & listen openly: Give someone space to share what they’re going through.
- Be there & show support: Let them know they don’t have to face difficult times alone.
- Help keep them safe: Take concerns seriously and help connect them with support.
- Help them connect: Encourage reaching out to trusted people and resources.
- Follow up & stay connected: A simple check-in can make a difference.
You don’t need to have all the answers. Just start talking.
Take a moment to check in with someone you care about today.
