24 Hours. 1 Bench. Countless Conversations.

Last year, 50 people sat on a bench at UGMTC to have conversations about homelessness. A diverse group of people came together to dig deep into community collaboration and what we could do together to make a difference from every angle. Churches. Nonprofits. City, county and state departments. Businesses. Donors. Volunteers.

Let’s do it again! Get ready to join in during Conversations on a Bench on Oct 8-9, 2026.

This is what all those outcomes can lead to. ☝️

Faith. Community. Wellbeing. Financial Stability. Housing.

Each piece matters. Each milestone is worth celebrating. And together, holistic care can help someone move from homelessness toward lasting stability—and a place that truly feels like home.

On , we’re celebrating the generosity that helps make transformation like this possible for hundreds of people each year.

The goal isn’t shelter. The goal is home.

One of the five outcomes we track at UGMTC is housing—because a temporary place to stay is only part of the journey.

We want men, women and children to leave our programs for housing that is safe, stable and truly theirs. A place where they can put down roots, rebuild routines and move forward with confidence.

We will always welcome anyone who comes through our doors. But when someone exits our programs into stable housing?

We hope they never need to come back. 💜

What will your generosity make possible long after today?

🍽️ A meal for someone who is hungry.
🛌 A bed for someone who has nowhere else to go.
✝️ Christ-centered care for a person ready to rebuild.
✨ A new beginning for a family who needs hope.

Your legacy can be more than what you leave behind.
It can be what you help make possible.

Grief doesn’t always look the same—and it doesn’t follow a timeline.

For many people who come through the doors of UGMTC, grief is part of their story. Through Christ-centered care, supportive community and individualized support, we have the privilege of walking alongside people as they process loss and begin to find hope for what comes next.

Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, we remember those who are grieving and pray they experience comfort, healing and the reminder that they do not have to carry their grief alone.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” —Matthew 5:4
