🔥This is what forging common ground for the common good looks like.

It's official—the Stop Harms from Addictive Social Media Act now heads to the desk of Governor Tim Walz.

Your advocacy made a real difference. Thousands of messages were sent to legislators throughout the session. Thank you for lending your voice to this effort.

In a divided legislature, we are encouraged that lawmakers have fostered common ground for the common good to protect Minnesota’s children online and to stand up to Big Tech.

Please join us in praying that Governor Walz signs this monumental bill into law.

A big thank you to Senator Michael Kreun, a co-author of the social media bill that passed unanimously yesterday in the Senate. Without his leadership, we would not be where we are today.

🎉🎉🎉

Here’s to future generations of kids less glued to Big Tech and living in the present moment!

“It is time to put social media companies on notice for their failure to protect children.”

Senator Erin Maye Quade reacts to the unanimous passing of the Stop Harms from Addictive Social Media bill today in the Senate.

🚨Just in: Stop Harms from Addictive Social Media Act just passed 66-0 in the Senate! Big Tech is on notice in Minnesota.

Because there are slight language differences in the House and Senate bills it now heads back to the House for concurrence. Please continue praying that the Legislature passes this bill before 11:59pm on Sunday night, when the legislative session will adjourn. After passage, the bill is sent to the Governor for signature.

We want to thank two senators, in particular, who championed this bill: Senator Erin Maye Quade for authoring the bill and Senator Michael Kreun for co-authoring. Thank you also to Senators Zach Duckworth, Heather Gustafson, and Senator Jordan Rasmusson for co-authoring.

This is a great example of finding common ground to promote the common good!
