Service & Prayer Cancelled Tomorrow – Storm Safety & Recommended Reflection
Deeper Life Alliance Church Family,
As the storm approaches, we are cancelling tomorrow's (Sunday) morning worship service and evening prayer meeting. Your safety comes first—please stay home and stay safe if conditions worsen.
Though we won't gather together, use this time intentionally for personal spiritual growth. We encourage you and your household to watch the documentary American Gospel: Christ Alone (free on YouTube here:

This is the full film from the American Gospel series, approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes long, originally released in 2018. Note that the actual film content begins around the 7:30 mark after some previews.)
This thought-provoking documentary examines how the prosperity gospel and other distortions have influenced modern Christianity, often blending the American dream with the true gospel message. It contrasts these teachings with the biblical truth of Christ alone—His finished work on the cross, salvation by grace through faith, and the call to a deeper life centered on Him rather than on health, wealth, or personal gain.
As a congregation in the Christian and Missionary Alliance tradition, which has long emphasized the "deeper life" in Christ and the centrality of the Fourfold Gospel (Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King), we believe this film will be a valuable tool for reflection, discernment, and renewed commitment to the unchanging truth of Scripture.
You might consider:
Watching it in one sitting if time allows,
Pausing to discuss key points with family members,
Journaling thoughts or Scriptures that come to mind,
Praying for those who have been influenced by distorted teachings.
