We had a “Ladies Only” Valentine Party at the Valley Community Center on Valentine’s Day.

We were so blessed to give these women a fun-filled day. They laughed with joy and cried with thankfulness, as we lavished on them multiple gifts, games, prizes, good food and homemade treats!

Cindy Prindle shared the gospel and God‘s love for them. ❤️

Some of these ladies are struggling with homelessness, sleeping in their cars and places with no heat or lights.

 We’re going to do a follow up luncheon the frist Saturday in April with resources and bring in people who can help them with the various needs they have. 

We are preparing and looking forward to this next event. Please keep it and these women in your prayers. 🙏

Haven’t posted much on Facebook lately, but we are here busy serving those in need. Thanks to all the wonderful churches and people God sends to the south side of St Joseph, Missouri. 

We served Christmas Day and had a large number of people come. It was a blessing to  share Christmas with them! 

Right now it is heartbreaking, and honestly hard to sleep at night seeing all the people that are living in extremely hard conditions in this cold weather. In their cars, in tents and sheds, and places that have no utilities.

I am thankful that we are here to serve and help them with the various needs they have, to hopefully make their lives a little better.

Thank you all who so faithfully come and keep serving, and to all of you who give! You are all amazing! Looking forward to serving alongside of you another year in 2026! ❤️

This was a project that so many people were involved in, and we were the recipients of their care and generosity.

 A couple of weeks ago, these beautiful people brought boxes and boxes of hygiene products collected at several places.

They put in a hygiene station at the front of our building at the entrance where people come in. This is where people can find hygiene products that they’re in need of. 

We are deeply grateful to every single person that was involved in this act of kindness. The last picture on this post is a list of people, businesses and companies who were involved in blessing so many  in our community that have need of these items.

 If the list isn’t complete, please add in the comments those that need credit for this. We are deeply grateful to everyone.

Cory from BUDGET BROTHERS, and his lovely wife and daughter stopped by the other night and brought a load of donuts from THE SHOP on King Hill Ave. Everyone sure enjoyed them with their coffee, and they got to take some home too!!! 🍩

Tom Morton from Hosenna Church has served at the Valley Community Center for the last 11 years and is retiring. This Tuesday was his last night.

We hate to see you go and we will miss you! Tom and his grandchildren have faithfully came every other month to shared the word of God, and a warm meal with those in need.

Tom makes an awesome chicken noodle soup with homemade biscuits and Texas sheet cake.

About 100 people gathered at the Valley Community Center Thursday to serve and partake in a Thanksgiving Day feast!!!

The folks from Evolution United Methodist Church (that is right down the street from the Food Kitchen), put together an amazing meal! They came with a bountiful amount of food, smiles and hospitality to serve those in need.

It was wonderful to see  their generous hearts. They sent all the leftovers home with the folks and stayed and cleaned the building. 

 What I heard over and over again was how thankful people were to have a place to come.

 Thank you to everyone that worked so hard to make this a special Thanksgiving for so many people. 🦃❤️❤️❤️

 We really need help in gathering some warm items for those in need. We are looking for men’s and women’s long underwear sets, hand and feet warmers,  full face stocking mask, stocking caps, sleeping bags, blankets, winter socks and gloves, hoodies, and coats.

Today’s the day! We’re all ready for our Soupfest fundraiser. The ladies did a wonderful job making homemade soups, chili and homemade fall desserts.
Everything looks wonderful and delicious. Want to invite you to come and spend the evening with us and listen to some wonderful worship by Sonya Buckles from Open Door Ministries.  It’s going to be an awesome evening!
