Yesterday, September 13, marked the beginning of National Assisted Living Week. We pray for those who live in assisted living communities and those who dedicate their daily lives to providing the assistance and care needed in these facilities. We pray especially for our staff and sisters at Saint Scholastica Convent.

Our Empty Bowls celebration is only one month away!

📆 Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10: You’re invited to join the monastic community for Empty Bowls: A Gathering of Hope! This community event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What is an Empty Bowls celebration? 🍵 Attendees have the opportunity to “purchase” a bowl handcrafted by local potters and artists and enjoy a shared meal of locally made soups and breads. There are no set prices; attendees are asked to donate what they can. All proceeds will go to the St. Joseph Community Food Shelf to help those who are hungry right in our community.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11, 2001. Please say a prayer for the souls who returned home to God and for those they left behind. Pray also that we always work toward building communities of strength, love and safety and that we recognize the presence of God always, even in the midst of tragedy. Let us work together to build a better world.

Bennies are back! ❤️💙🎉

We’re so excited to welcome first year and returning Bennies to campus! We look forward to sharing this community, getting to know one another and celebrating all that the year ahead will bring.

It was an honor to welcome and celebrate our newest Bennies at the annual First-Year Dinner and Prayer Service. May God bless this new chapter and the academic journey ahead!
