Obituary for Charlie Brown

In staying with a Charlie’s wishes, there will be a Graveside service at Sugar Creek Cemetery
10:30am Tuesday, September 8th.

Many of you will remember Mary Fender. Received word that she passed away yesterday. She had moved to an assisted living facility in Blue Springs several years ago. She had still been very active until her health took a sudden turn recently. She would have been 100 in December. -Beck

Update on Janet - the ‘only’ paralysis she appears to have suffered currently is her right hand. She has feeling in it (can feel touch) but she cannot grip, force muscle movement, etc. For a Pianist/organist that’s pretty discouraging.

However, we just left there and she’s typical Janet - Smiling and in very good spirits. Please keep praying for her!

Steven James Sampson, 60, of St Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at a local health care center. He was born May 8, 1966 in St. Joseph, son of Sharon Lyon and James Jib Sampson. He graduated from Benton High School, class of 1984. Steve worked at Insteel
