Our theme this year is" Be His Heart in the World." Our teachers and staff spent today at a Sacred Heart retreat beginning with Mass and followed with fellowship, reflection, and prayer. Thank you to Erin Goettemoeller for leading us through our "Paint and Pray" as we worked through our Sacred Heart Journal. It was a day full of blessings!

New Parish Pictorial Directory for SFX!

It has been 10 years since our last parish pictorial directory! Coming back as your Pastor, I find the pictorial directory very useful to help me put people’s faces and names together. The only problem is that we have all gotten older, some have passed or moved, while others have joined. Our Pastoral Council has chosen Universal Church Directories to do a new directory. Pictures will be taken August 26-29 and September 24-26. There are flyers available next to the bulletins in church. You can sign up online or in person at the table in Gaspar Hall after every mass. To schedule your photography appointment online, simply go to www.ucdir.com, click on Photography Session Sign-Up, enter MO467 in the Church Code field and enter parish467 in the Church Password field. Follow the prompts to schedule your family’s appointment time. If you have 5 or more in your family, please use 2 consecutive time slots. For assistance in scheduling your appointment please call 816-501-8652.

Thank you to everyone who made me feel so appreciated on Friday! Thank you for all the kinds words, the flowers from the students, the gifts cards and flowers from HASA and the staff. I know that God has set me on this path, and that I would not be here without the support of my family and all of you! Thank you again for everything !

We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Ashley Matthias will join our school as the 5th-grade teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Many in our parish and school community already know Ashley from her years of volunteer service and as a substitute teacher. We look forward to the dedication and teaching experience she will bring to our 5th-grade classroom. Thank you, Mrs. Matthias, for answering the call to serve as a Catholic educator
