Jesus is clear with us: we are invited to take up our crosses and follow him. We are not invited to take up Jesus’ cross, as he already has. Crosses are many, they are daily, and they are the result of our humanity. We are to take them up and follow Christ. Follow him to final crucifixion? No. Through crucifixion to resurrection. Not following Jesus doesn’t avoid crosses and crucifixion -- it avoids resurrection and new life.
Come consider new life on Sunday, August 30 at 10am with Jeff Kay as he leads Morning Prayer.

At first, Jesus didn't want to help the Canaanite woman. And then he came to realize if it’s not Good News for everyone, then it’s not good enough yet. Period.

Van Gogh created more than thirty drawings and paintings of the Sower. Perhaps van Gogh recognized what we often forget: that all the terrain — all the terrain — is finally God’s, under God’s provision and sustained by God’s love.
Come and consider our terrain on Sunday, July 12 at 10am with Linell Gray Moss, as she leads Morning Prayer and offers the homily.
