Due to the weather forecast tomorrow, church will be held at the church, with our “picnic” held in the fellowship hall following service. We’re bummed, but looking forward to tomorrow still! 🌧️

Join us for one of our favorite annual traditions - Praise in the Park!

Each year, we take Sunday morning worship outside for a special time of praise, fellowship, and good food together.

We’ll gather at the covered pavilion at Motz Park at 10:45 AM for worship, followed by our annual potluck lunch. Picnic tables and seating are available right inside the pavilion, so simply come as you are and bring a dish to share if you’re able!

Children’s Church learned about doing God’s work with a willing heart while using unique skills like the Israelites did when building a tabernacle as told in Exodus.

Sometimes the best instructions are the simplest. 😉 Today, Pastor KC reminded us to:

STOP letting worry take over.
DROP to your knees and ask God for wisdom.
ROLL forward in faith, trusting that He’s already at work.

We may not always get the answer when we want it, or in the way we expect it, but we don’t have to carry the worry while we wait.

Whatever you’re facing this week, remember: stop, drop and roll.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

An excessive heat watch has been issued for our area! A reminder that starting today, we are opening up our church from noon-6 pm as a cooling center.

Not able to join us today? Stay safe and drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and be sure to check up on relatives and neighbors.

During the upcoming stretch of high temperatures, St. Johns Church of God will be opening our doors as a Cooling Center for anyone in our community who needs a cool, comfortable place to spend a little time.

July 13–15
Noon–6:00 PM

Stop in to enjoy:
• Air conditioning
• Cold water
• A comfortable place to rest

Whether you're between errands, your home doesn't have air conditioning, or you simply need a place to cool off for a while, you're welcome here.

Cool temperatures, a one-day delay, and even a little rain couldn’t stop our St. John’s Church of God family from coming together to celebrate Independence Day. ❤️

We’re so thankful for everyone who joined us for an evening of laughter, fellowship, great food, music, games, and fireworks. It was a wonderful reminder that it’s not perfect weather that makes an event special… it’s the people who gather together!

Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make our July 4th/5th celebration one to remember. We loved celebrating with you!
