What a rich Sunday - we wrapped up our sermon series, Generations: Gratitude, Stewardship, and Laboring Unto Glory.

It was a special morning as we welcomed new members into our church family and celebrated a baptism. And it wouldn't be a celebratory Sunday at Cross Creek without cake!

As we journey through our Generations sermon series, we’re putting our faith into practice beyond Sunday mornings. Pick up a Generations Challenge Card in the lobby and take on these four intentional actions with us:

*Share an intergenerational meal: Host or invite someone from a different generation to join you for food and conversation.

*Send handwritten gratitude: Write and mail three personalized thank-you notes to members of your church community.

*Lend a hand: Serve at church in a capacity or department you haven’t tried before.

*Commit scripture to memory: Hide God’s Word in your heart by memorizing Deuteronomy 6:4–6:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.”

Which challenge are you starting with this week?

Tag a friend you want to complete these with, or stop by the welcome desk to grab your physical card!

You’re invited to ABIDE, the 2026 Cross Creek Women’s Retreat.

On September 11–12, we’re setting aside time to step out of the rhythms and responsibilities of everyday life and return our attention to Jesus—to worship, open God’s Word, pray, reflect, share meals, and enjoy fellowship with one another.

Jesus tells his disciples, “Abide in me, and I in you.” (John 15:4)

That is our hope for this weekend: not to add one more thing to our lives, but to make room to remain in Christ and receive from him.
