Hello Members and Friends of St. John's Lutheran Church,

Our Versiti Blood Drive is coming up on Tuesday, June 23rd from 1:30 to 6 pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex if you are
able to donate blood and have time that day. Thanks to those of you who have already signed up.

Our Good News Kitchen ministry continues to serve 600 lunches per week on average. Good News Kitchen is not funded through our church budget. The church does cover the cost of the utilities used in the kitchen, but we don't use church funds to purchase food and supplies. If you would like to help us feed our neighbors in need, we would welcome your specific support for this ministry. One immediate need is for support to purchase fresh fruit. We haven't been able to acquire enough donated fresh fruit to supply 600 lunches each week, so we've had to begin purchasing some to supplement the fruit that is donated.

Thanks to all who helped with the Celebration of Life for Al Bebow this past Monday. We had a full church and at least 160 people enjoyed a lunch prepared and served with love. I appreciate how we take good care of our church members, their families, and our guests when they have lost a loved one.

There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for our blood drive that is coming up on Tuesday, June 23rd from 1:30 to 6 pm.
There are typically blood supply shortages in the summer months, so let's do our part to alleviate the shortage by donating blood.

Have a good Memorial Day Weekend. Take time to give thanks to God for the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price to preserve our democracy and the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
