We all love the mountaintop moments. Those times when God feels close and everything seems clear. But what happens when we come back down? Elijah experienced an incredible victory, yet soon found himself discouraged, afraid, and questioning everything.

Most of life isn’t lived on the mountaintop. It’s lived in the ordinary moments. The routines. The struggles. The everyday stuff. God doesn’t promise us one mountaintop after another. He calls us to trust Him and listen for His voice, even in the valley.

So what does this have to do with prayer? A powerful prayer life isn’t just about asking God for the next big moment. It’s about learning to seek God and hear His voice right where we are. Even in the ordinary, God is still working. Are you listening?

For the past several weeks we have been looking at World Changing Prayers in scripture. Have you ever wondered if God really hears your prayers? Especially when you know your own past?

This week, we look at the story of King Manasseh. His life was filled with rebellion and sin. Yet, when he finally turned to God, his prayer was heard. Manasseh’s story shows us just how powerful a repentant heart can be.

Hezekiah shows us what it looks like to pray when life feels overwhelming. He trusted God, stayed close to Him, and had the courage to face a situation that seemed impossible. When trouble came, he took it straight to God. He asked for help, but he also listened.

But Hezekiah’s prayer was about more than just getting out of trouble. He wanted God’s name to be honored. He wanted God’s kingdom and power to be seen. He trusted that God could step into the situation and change what seemed impossible.

Hezekiah reminds us that prayer really matters. God can move in ways we never expect. What might happen if we prayed with that same kind of faith? What if we focused less on our comfort and more on God's glory? Join us for World Changing Prayer.

What does it really mean to pursue godliness? It starts with what we desire. Our words, actions, and choices often reveal what is in our hearts. We are challenged to take an honest look at what we are pursuing and whether our lives truly reflect Jesus.

Pursuing God is not about being perfect. It is about becoming more like Jesus. God's Word, prayer, and serving others can shape our hearts and help us grow. Small changes can lead to a deeper desire for the things God loves.

Maybe God is calling you to make a change. Maybe it's time to refocus, let go of something, or take a step closer to Him. Wherever you are in your walk, scripture offers a reminder that there is joy in pursuing God and becoming more like Jesus.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude after an amazing week at Emerald Crossing VBS!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our incredible volunteers who shared their time, energy, and love to help guide our kids on this journey. 💚🙌 Your dedication helped create a week filled with faith, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
