GLORY TO GOD FOR ALL THINGS
Happy Thanksgiving! Since September 14th of last year, we have been hard at work to build and move into a new building that would accommodate the growing number of people attending divine services here Annunciation. By God’s grace, the prayers of the Mother of God, many donations, and even more volunteer help, we were able to move in on Pentecost earlier this year.
Seeing these fruits of more than 12 1/2 years of missionary labor in south central Missouri, after coming to offer talks for our Fall Retreat and serving the first commemoration of St. Olga with us at the end of October, our Archbishop Daniel determined it was time for us to be established as a parish of the Diocese of the Midwest. Glory to God!
On this beautiful day of Thanksgiving, we are unspeakably grateful to God, to our patroness the Theotokos, to our supportive hierarch, and all of you for the love, support, and prayerful participation which has allowed us to become a parish. We feel convicted to take this coming year to rest, reflect, pray, pour out into you all, and then prepare for the even greater spiritual labor of building a permanent temple and planting new missions, in God’s time. We invite you to visit us for any upcoming services, talks, and events. May the Lord bless you each today as you reflect on the goodness of God in your lives.
