Who We Are

Lighthouse Assembly was planted by Reverend Lloyd Groetz as St. Ignace Assembly of God in 1947, when a small schoolhouse was relocated from Moran to Reagon Street in St. Ignace. The church operated in the same building for 67 years. August 2014, we purchased a 4-acre property on Bertrand Street in St. Ignace, and changed our name to Lighthouse Assembly to better reflect our mission. We celebrated our 70-year anniversary in the summer of 2017.

Lighthouse Assembly strives to create a family atmosphere, whether you call us home, or are simply in town for a visit. We have a top-notch children’s ministry (grades 1-6), and a strong and growing youth group (Jr. and Sr. High).

Sunday morning services feature contemporary music (we mix in some traditional hymns and older choruses at times too...), a relevant message from the Word of God, and a casual atmosphere designed to help foster genuine connections and relationships. We offer small groups and traditional bible studies at varying times throughout the year.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We’d love to have you as our honored guest! Come as you are and check out what Lighthouse Assembly is all about.
