A lot of people think sharing their faith always means saying something.

But sometimes the clearest testimony is simply how we choose to act when everyone else is doing the opposite.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

In the break room, it would have been easy to join the complaining. Easy to pile on. Easy to talk about the person who left the mess.

Instead, one person quietly cleaned it up.

No speech. No announcement. No need for credit.

And somebody noticed.

Sometimes Shining the Light means doing what is right without needing anyone to know you did it.

Everyday moments. Eternal truth.

Romans 13:8 says, “Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another.” In context, Paul has just told believers to give people what is due to them. Pay what you owe. Honor your obligations. Be a person whose word means something.

But then Paul points to one debt that can never really be paid off: love.

You can pay off a loan. You can settle a bill. You can return what you borrowed. But you never reach a point where you can say, “Well, I’ve loved people enough. That obligation is finished.”

For the Christian, love remains due every single day.

That does not mean ignoring truth, excusing sin, or allowing people to take advantage of you. Biblical love is much deeper than simply being nice. It means treating others with the grace, honesty, patience, mercy, and concern that Christ has shown us.

Pay what you owe. Keep your commitments. And never stop owing one another love.

I can pray for you, but I cannot do your praying for you. Someone else can pray for your strength, but they cannot seek God in your place. They can pray that you repent, but they cannot repent for you. They can ask God to give you wisdom, but they cannot replace your own dependence upon Him. They can carry you before the Lord when you're weak, but eventually you still have to talk to your Father yourself.

America is a melting pot of cultures and religions. Missionaries once traveled continents to share their faith, but now, people from every nation live next door, work with us, and serve us daily. This is not just a cultural landscape to navigate; it's a mission field God has intentionally placed at our doorstep.
