Harry Oscar Causey, age 75, of Conway, South Carolina left us peacefully on June 26th, surrounded by family at the home of his daughter, Heather, where he resided. A beloved father, brother, and friend to many, Harry will always be remembered for his kind heart and willingness to help others.

An update on my Momma.

Momma has had a stroke which is left her very weak on her left side. When she eats or drink she aspirates. The doctor said a feeding tube would not help her. So conversations over the years and also the last few days, we will be honoring Momma's wishes not to prolong the inevitable with a feeding tube that will not help her to get better. She will be entering hospice care on Friday, November 1st. She is ready to go see her Lord and Savior Jesus, her husband and my daddy, and others who have gone before. Thank you for the many prayers, text, and messages sent over the last week. They have sustained us and will continue doing so in the days ahead. Many of you have traveled this road before us. Many will come after us. Let us continue walking this journey of life together for the glory of God. Trusting in his sovereignty even when we prefer a different outcome. Hallelujah and Amen

Thank you for praying for my Momma.

She has had a stroke which is affecting her left side. They are still doing some tests to know the extent. Will have another test on Monday.

She is alert, yet sleeping a lot which is normal after a stroke coupled with a bad UTI and strong antibiotics.

Please keep praying for her, her medical team, and our family as we navigate the days ahead.

Again, thank you for your prayers.

Asking prayers for my Momma. She fell earlier at home. As she was being discharged from ER Jenny and I started noticing several things which concerned us. Ask DR to reconsider...he concurred and is admitting her to hospital. Pray for God's healing touch.

NEWS RELEASE: Two Additional South Carolina Counties Eligible for FEMA Assistance

Homeowners and renters in Abbeville and Richland counties who had uninsured damage or losses caused by Hurricane Helene are now eligible to apply for FEMA disaster assistance.

FEMA may be able to help with serious needs, displacement, temporary lodging, basic home repair costs, personal property loss or other disaster-caused needs. Previously, Aiken, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Cherokee, Edgefield, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Lexington, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Saluda, Spartanburg and Union counties were authorized for assistance to households.

The quickest way to apply is to go online to DisasterAssistance.gov. You can also apply using the FEMA App for mobile devices or calling toll-free 800-621-3362. The telephone line is open every day and help is available in most languages. If you use a relay service, such as Video Relay Service (VRS), captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service. To view an accessible video on how to apply visit Three Ways to Apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance - YouTube.

What You’ll Need When You Apply
-A current phone number where you can be contacted.
-Your address at the time of the disaster and the address where you are now staying.
-Your Social Security number.
-A general list of damage and losses.
-Banking information if you choose direct deposit.
-If insured, the policy number or the agent and/or the company name.

If you have homeowners, renters’ or flood insurance, you should file a claim as soon as possible. FEMA cannot duplicate benefits for losses covered by insurance. If your policy does not cover all your disaster expenses, you may be eligible for federal assistance.
