Start your day with a little restoring
With Christ as your new beginning.
What better way to start than to start the day singing?

Turn, turn your heart in the morning,
Take His blood, be washed from all things;
Nothing’s too big or small for Him,
He’s righteous and He will forgive;
Exercise your spirit in this way.

Start your day with a little restoring
With Christ as your life-giving drink.
He’ll fill your cup, He’ll fill you up, until you sink in Christ.

Drink, drink up Christ in the morning,
Drink the One who’s overflowing
In your heart, from the throne He’s flowing
To reach you. With the tree that’s growing
To cherish, to nourish, to refresh, to supply you.

Just by one simple prayer, you can breathe Him anywhere.

Join yourself to the One who’s soaring,
Transcending over everything,

Don’t think; the breath knows where to go.

“Grant me the body of Jesus.” - Joseph of Arimathea (BC 40 -AD 45) // The Gospels tell us that Joseph of Arimathea was a respected, wealthy, and righteous man who served on the Jewish High Council (the Sanhedrin). He was a disciple of Jesus, but kept his devotion secret, out of fear of his colleagues. The Sanhedrin condemned Jesus without Joseph’s consent, and delivered Jesus to the Roman authorities for trial and ex*****on. Joseph risked his life and reputation and asked Pontius Pilate for Jesus’ body, to be wrapped in a linen cloth and buried in Joseph’s own tomb. Christian fables credit Joseph with taking the Gospel to England, establishing the first church at Glastonbury (where his staff budded and became the Glastonbury thorn), and carrying with him the cup from the Last Supper (the origin of the Holy Grail stories of King Arthur legends). History indicates that Christianity did reach England very early, perhaps as early as the lifetime of Joseph of Arimathea. // Almighty God, you have surrounded us with a great cloud of witnesses: Grant that we, encouraged by the good example of your servant Joseph of Arimathea, may persevere in running the race that is set before us, until at last, with him, we attain to your eternal joy; through Jesus Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Oh, there is a Holy Grail indeed! and long ago it was placed at Glastonbury. But, precious ones, today it has been spiritually amplified until replicas of that Holy Grail are placed as a filigree radiance of light around each human heart who aspires to become a chalice of Christed opportunity. The concept of the physical cup, the tangible Grail that the mind and hand can grasp, is the magnet that rallies souls to take up the spiritual quest—lifetime after lifetime—of discovering and becoming the inner light and the Holy Grail.

Introduction

From the knights of medieval legends to Indiana Jones to the DaVinci Code, the Holy Grail has been the most sought after Christian relic in popular culture for centuries. The Grail is most commonly identified as the cup that Jesus drank from at the Last Supper, and that Joseph of Arimathea used to collect Jesus’s blood when He was crucified.
Given the importance of Jesus’s crucifixion and the Eucharist in Christian beliefs, the search for the Grail became the holiest of quests as it signified the pursuit of union with God.
Possibly stemming from the presence of cauldrons and other mystical objects in Celtic mythologies, the Grail became a common theme in literature related to King Arthur, which will be discussed further in this book.
Although it is generally accepted as mythic, some believe the Grail is more than just a figment of medieval literature. Within this book we will discuss other possibilities and views: Grail Lore, Grail History, Interviews with prominent people in our society, Bloodline Theory, and different religious views.
The quest for the real Holy Grail continues to this day. The Holy Grail Trail is a quest for spiritual searching and a journey of discoveries. It represents spiritual perfection that all should strive for. The Holy Grail Trail is something special and important.
