He is risen indeed!

What seemed like defeat was actually victory. The stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty, and Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead. Death was conquered, sin was defeated, and the hope of all who trust in Christ was secured forever.

Easter tells us that our Savior is not in the grave. He is alive. Because Jesus lives, sinners can be forgiven, the broken can be restored, and God’s people can live with unshakable hope.

Rejoice in the risen Christ today!

Good Friday calls us to remember.

The sinless Son of God was betrayed, falsely accused, mocked, beaten, and crucified. He was rejected by men so sinners could be received by God. At the cross, Jesus bore our sin, endured our judgment, and accomplished our redemption.

Today we do not remember the cross as a tragedy without meaning, but as the place where mercy and justice met in Christ. We look on Him with grief for our sin, gratitude for His sacrifice, and hope because His death was not the end.

“Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.”
— Luke 23:34

Tonight we remember the night our Lord gathered with His disciples in the upper room.

On Maundy Thursday, we reflect on the humility of Christ in washing His disciples’ feet, the love of Christ in serving those who would fail Him, and the grace of Christ in giving Himself for sinners. At the table, Jesus pointed His people to the new covenant in His blood and called them to remember Him.

As we reflect today, may we look back to the cross with gratitude, look within with repentance, and look ahead with hope for the day Christ returns.

“Do this in remembrance of me.”
— Luke 22:19

Church family, reminder: no regular Wednesday night service this week.

Instead, we’ll gather for Worship at the Park as a mission opportunity to bless our community and make much of Jesus. Join us at Medal of Honor Park, Bicentennial Pavilion, from 6:30–7:15 PM.

As you come, pray for open doors and open hearts. Let’s be intentional to share the gospel and pray with at least one person we encounter. We are not just attending an event. We are going as Christ’s people on Christ’s mission.

As we enter a New Year, it is the perfect time to have a plan in place of regular Scripture intake. Join us as we seek to read the whole Bible this year.

An easy-to-follow guide to reading the Bible one book at a time. From Discipleship Journal, this book-at-a-time Bible reading plan gives you what you need to read the Bible in one year. (This plan was formerly called Discipleship Journal's Book-at-a-Time Reading Plan).
