Adventure at Curtain Falls! Exploring cliffs, a tunnel under Hwy 35, 629 steps up and down with over 7,000 total steps over a 3.4 mile stretch. It was a great hike - God blessed us with a cooler morning! September 7 is Labor Day, so we have no hike scheduled, but if anyone wants to hike to Straight Lake, Kathy would love to go with you! The 14th we will meet on Day Rd in SCF for the Mindy Creek Trail.

These are the days to join our Happy HikeHers group, friends! It's getting more and more beautiful (and temperate!) every day 😍 We set out on Monday morning and what a perfect hiking day! About 2.4 miles of hiking and lots of fellowship. We explored the copper mines left from the late 1800s, the artesian well that provided water for the mansion, the mansion and trout pools. Of course we took some time to look at the falls. It was most beautiful. Next week is Train Falls-Railroad Trail in Taylors falls. Everyone is welcome!

We can’t wait for our Fall Ministry Schedule to get started on September 16! Remember to register your kids for AWANA, and then consider either serving in one of our youth ministries (Wednesday evening nursery, AWANA or Youth group) or attending one of our Bible studies – our women’s Joshua study is going to be phenomenal!

Ladies, please join us this fall for our exciting new Bible study, "Joshua: Every Promise Fulfilled," beginning September 16, 6:45-8:15 pm. In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the book of Joshua, Jen Wilkin helps us see how God’s commands, though sometimes difficult, are always rooted in His steadfast love for His people. We battle not against flesh and blood as Israel did, but we courageously war against the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, trusting in the finished work of the true and better Joshua, Jesus Christ.

Remember this: you are known deeply and loved more completely than you can imagine by El Roi - "The God Who sees me." The God who saw you before your heart began to beat, before you breathed your first breath, before you took your first step - and before your first misstep. This God, who knows every day of your life, beginning to end - THIS God has good plans for you, desires to partner with and guide you in your struggles, and is never, ever repulsed by the messiness of your life. He loves you. He desires to heal your heart and redeem your pain. He longs to sanctify you. He alone is where hope and fulfillment and future are found.
