Meet Olivia : Christian, wife, and stay-at-home mom of two. For the first 16 years of her life, she thought that being a “good person” was the ticket to Heaven until she met Jesus.
“Going to church felt like just another thing in my family’s weekly schedule and made no impact on the rest of my week. I believed in Jesus and understood the basics of the Christian faith, but my heart wasn’t changed.” Olivia knew of God but didn’t yet know God. "Through school I was bullied and felt so alone, anxious, and unwanted. In sophomore year of high school I joined Track and Field, where I met Ben and his sister Danielle. They were kind, welcoming and intentional. They invited me to FCA, youth group and 'puppy parties' to hang out and hold their dogs newborn puppies. They were intentional and patient as they shared the Gospel with me and answered my questions. I wondered why we both considered ourselves Christians, but seemed vastly different. I realized that I truly didn’t know who God was. Ben and Danielle knew Him and had a relationship with Him, and it shaped every aspect of their lives. I started reading my Bible for the very first time in my life and learned that I was NOT good enough, but EVEN while I was still a sinner Christ died for me (Rom. 5:8). I met a God who wasn’t just able to give me a ticket to heaven, but a God who met me in my sin and suffering. His Word told me, I was wanted, loved, and not alone. God radically changed my life and gave me a hope and peace that the world will never be able to.”
