Calvary Community Church

Calvary Community Church Join us for worship every Sunday @ 10:30 AM. You can also view the service on our website, app, or YouTube! We want the Gospel to be the center of our lives.

At Calvary, we long to base everything we do on the Word of God, the Bible. It is our heart's desire at Calvary to understand and experience the joy of living by the Gospel. We want the Gospel to be the main thing, that which we are most passionate about.

This week's sermon snippet: Pastor Doug Fern preached on John 15:26-27. He shares about the love we are called to have, that of a broken-hearted evangelist.

When the world rejects you for your faith, don't be surprised—Jesus warned us this would happen. But here's what matters: this warning is meant to strengthen us, not scare us. We're still called to love those around us and share the Gospel. Don't soften your faith to avoid friction. Stand firm.

Today on Pastors Corner: Pastor Doug reminds us about our vision and how we are working on entrusting the truth with the Next Gen. One way we are doing this is through our school CCA. Please pray for teachers here at Calvary, both CCA, homeschool, and public School teachers, that the Lord would work powerfully through them that they might be entrusting Gods word to the next generation.

God Delights in You!
Most of us think of God's love as mercy and grace, but have you ever considered that God APPROVES of you, DELIGHTS in you, and takes JOY in who you are?

Testimony Tuesday with Olivia Ruhr.
Swipe through these photos to hear a little bit about how God has worked in Olivias life!

Meet Olivia : Christian, wife, and stay-at-home mom of two. For the first 16 years of her life, she thought that being a “good person” was the ticket to Heaven until she met Jesus.
“Going to church felt like just another thing in my family’s weekly schedule and made no impact on the rest of my week. I believed in Jesus and understood the basics of the Christian faith, but my heart wasn’t changed.” Olivia knew of God but didn’t yet know God. "Through school I was bullied and felt so alone, anxious, and unwanted. In sophomore year of high school I joined Track and Field, where I met Ben and his sister Danielle. They were kind, welcoming and intentional. They invited me to FCA, youth group and 'puppy parties' to hang out and hold their dogs newborn puppies. They were intentional and patient as they shared the Gospel with me and answered my questions. I wondered why we both considered ourselves Christians, but seemed vastly different. I realized that I truly didn’t know who God was. Ben and Danielle knew Him and had a relationship with Him, and it shaped every aspect of their lives. I started reading my Bible for the very first time in my life and learned that I was NOT good enough, but EVEN while I was still a sinner Christ died for me (Rom. 5:8). I met a God who wasn’t just able to give me a ticket to heaven, but a God who met me in my sin and suffering. His Word told me, I was wanted, loved, and not alone. God radically changed my life and gave me a hope and peace that the world will never be able to.”
