“ After Jesus died on the cross, the KJV Bible states that Christians, having died to sin with Christ, should no longer live in it, as sin no longer has dominion over them. Romans 6:2-11 emphasizes being "dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God", urging believers to walk in newness of life, free from serving sin. “
“ Key Teachings in KJV on Living in Sin After the Cross: “
- Dead to Sin, Alive to God: Romans 6:11 commands believers to "reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord".
- Not Slaves to Sin: The "old man" (former self) was crucified with Christ so the body of sin might be destroyed, meaning believers should no longer serve sin, according to Romans 6:6 and 14.
- Not Continuing in Sin: Romans 6:1-2 asks rhetorically, "Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?".
- Resurrection Power: Because Christ was raised from the dead, believers are empowered to live a new, righteous life rather than under the mastery of sin (Romans 6:4).
- The Goal is Righteousness: 1 Peter 2:24 says Christ "bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness".
- Warning Against Following the Flesh: Romans 8:13 warns that "if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live".
What this all means
while Christ's death covers sin, it is not a license to continue living in it. Instead, it is a call to be transformed and to live in holiness.
so this means that living a lifestyle of homosexuality, LGBTQ or any lifestyle of any sin in the Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible is not grace and is not holiness. and we must change our ways and we must transform our self’s to full holiness.
