Christian Campus Ministry at St Cloud State University Campus Chi Alpha (XA) is a dynamic movement of college students earnestly seeking Christ. St. Cloud.

We don't believe in religion but we believe in a relationship with Jesus. We are a group of students who believe in an intimate relationship with God which furthers our knowledge of who He is and who we are in Him. In this genuine search for who He is we find that we are turning the college, students, and the world upside down. Cloud State University has a chapter of Chi Alpha present on the campu

s. So what exactly are we? Sometimes there aren't enough words to describe XA, then at other times, those words won't stick, because the face of Chi Alpha is a reflection of those involved, constantly changing and maturing. The question is not so much what is Chi Alpha, but who is Chi Alpha? We strive to welcome each and every person that comes. You are not just another nameless face at Chi Alpha St. You are accepted no matter who you are, what your background is or what you've been through. We refuse to buy into the idea that any one person is better than the next. Ok, so who then? We come from a lot of different backgrounds and that diversity makes Chi Alpha St Cloud unique. But most of us have one thing in common. We are excited about what God's doing in our lives and on our campus. He has been so good to us it makes us want to express our appreciation and love to Him in whatever way we can.

The one that wasn't cancelled was a memory maker! Huge shout out to the Waters Church for letting us use their space, we are so thankful for their generosity. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated the semester with us! We finally got to do worship together for the first time this semester for our final event. Everyone looked sharp and all the classic moves came out on the dance floor.

REMINDER that we will not have any events this week. No Large group or Friday event. Good luck to everyone taking finals!!!

Last night for our last Large Group, we got to hear our seniors share their experiences of how COVID affected their schooling, how they got connected with Chi Alpha, some of their most special memories, and parting thoughts of what they learned. It was nostalgic to hear Cathryn, Beth, Makayla, and Trina reminisce and share their stories! We love you guys and are so thankful to have shared in your journey, as well as for your investment in our Chi Alpha community!

Pastor Chris shared about how to have a profitable summer. We discussed in our breakout groups about being diligent with financial goals and considering how much working and spending we might do. We also discussed ways we can grow in the Lord over the summer. It's important to have goals for how we can continue to grow when we don't have meetings together every week and to find ways to support each other. How do you plan to make this summer profitable?

Where are you from? Hilliard Ohio

Why did you choose SCSU? Initially I had a job transfer me, SCSU was the closest college to my work. I came to get a Bachelor's in Social Work.

Highs/Lows of 2020?

Low- The pandemic as a whole, Ohio was one of the first states to shut down. I was in Ohio until May and then I came back to Minnesota.

High- Being able to go to King's Island amusement park, getting to come back to MN to see my friends.
Something God is really teaching you this semester? Just to depend on Him in these uncertain times, He always provides.

Tell us something unique about you! I drove from St. Cloud to Columbus Ohio and then to Pasadena California in one trip. I love to drive.

What's your enneagram? I think I'm a 2.

Tuesday night is our LAST Large Group night of the semester! It's Senior's Night, we'll be hearing from our seniors who graduate this semester! Come at 7 pm in the Atwood Theater or 7:20 pm on Instagram live. It's not too late to join us and get plugged in, come join us this Tuesday night!

Friday April 30th Spring Formal-The One that Wasn't Cancelled at the Waters Church in Sartell! You will NOT want to miss out on this! If you haven't signed up and would like to join us, please do so ASAP so we can get an accurate head count for the night! The sign-up form can be found following the link in our bio!

As we go into the next week, keeping last Tuesday in mind, may our roots in Christ continue to grow deeper!

Last night was about being transformational. Chris unpacked Colossians 2:6-7 "Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude."

How deep are your roots? Slide left for some images of the Kapok tree in the Amazon. They grow so massively because of how deep their roots are. The deeper we root ourselves in Jesus the more we grow in Him. Below are some things Chris challenged us to have in our lives to root ourselves deeper in Christ.

6.Powerful Moments (salt, fall retreat, XA formal)

Come to Large Group tonight at 7 pm in the Atwood theater or join us on Instagram at 7:20 pm! We are all done with the Alpha course. Tonight Pastor Chris is sharing a message called "Being transformational" and we will still do breakout groups. It's not too late to join us even if it's your first experience with us, there is no better way to cap off the end of a semester than by getting plugged into a loving community and connecting with the God who loves you. We hope you'll join us tonight! We'll hit Applebee's for some half priced appetizers after Large Group. Hope to see you tonight!
