When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and cried out in fear.… But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
Matthew 14:26-27
Remember when JESUS was walking on the water towards the disciples they did not recognize Him. This is because God is hard to recognize in the storm. But Jesus knowing their predicament walked towards them. He knew how fearful they were. He was their very present help in time of their trouble. Maybe, you feel He’s abandoned you in the high seas. God has not left you, He’s so close to you, though you are unable to see or feel Him, He’s there. He will come to you. He will strengthen and help you. If He’s calling you to step out of the boat, do it boldly. Keep your eyes on Him. No storm can drown you when He’s near.

No storm is stronger than the Savior holding you together. Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that Jesus is our firm anchor, faithful through every fear and every season. ⚓

Remember this: God’s love isn’t fragile. It’s unshakable, unending, and faithful through every storm. Nothing in this world has the power to separate you from His perfect love. ❤️

Take a moment to observe the lines on your palm. Then close your eyes and count five deep breaths through your nose. When is the last time you thought about how uniquely, creatively, and intentionally God made you?

When God made the first man, He formed Adam “from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” Genesis 2:7. When God created everything else, He used His words, but when it came to making us, He used His hands.

You are an intentional creation. This means that from your first cup of coffee to your last email of the day, every ordinary moment of your day is lived in a body that God personally created. Let every unique palm line and breath you take today remind you that you are a masterpiece in motion.

A Prayer for How God Made Me:
God, I confess, I move through my days fast
I don’t often notice the miracle of my own existence
Thank you for the breath in my lungs and the uniqueness of my fingerprints
You have personally, creatively, and intentionally made me
I want to honor you in how I rest, work, and live today
Thank you, God

Sometimes I catch myself trying to control every little thing, only to end up overwhelmed. But when I slow down and spend time with God first, my heart feels more grounded. He gently reminds us what truly matters and helps us let go of the pressure to carry everything ourselves. 🦋
